1943 Tool Box
Description
Antique wooden carpenter’s tool chest with a wonderful, untouched workshop patina. Features solid wood construction, two metal front latches, metal bracing, and the original removable divided wooden tool tray.
This chest was found in an estate basement and has been left essentially as found. I only wiped it down with a dry cloth to remove loose surface dust. The aged finish, staining, oxidation, and decades of workshop wear give it an excellent authentic appearance.
I intentionally did not use steel wool, refinisher, oil, or Restore A Finish on the wood. A buyer looking for a cleaner restored appearance could dramatically change the look with relatively little work, while a collector who prefers original patina can preserve it exactly as it is now.
Measures approximately 33"x 17.5"x8" and weighs 22 lb unpacked.
