The curved blade is over 35 inches in length. Stamped at the ricasso is “EMERSON \/ \u0026amp; \/ SILVER \/ TRENTON \/ N.J.”.  Stamped on the obverse is “US \/ JM \/ 1863”. The blade is clean. The leather washer is intact.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe brass hilt has two branches and knuckle bow. The pommel is of the Phrygian helmet style and stamped with inspector’s initials. All brass wears a pleasing mellow patina. The leather wrapped grip is in nice condition with surface wear.
